Rario, a cricket NFT platform, on Tuesday, announced a partnership with Indian T20I and IPL cricketer Arshdeep Singh to launch his own non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Notably, apart from Singh, wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Smriti Mandhana, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ruturaj Gaikwad, M Siraj, Shafali Verma, Rashid Khan, Jason Holder, Quinton De Kock and many others players have partnered with the Rario platform.
Additionally, Rario launched the ‘Star Power Pack Drop’ on Monday, which was sold out in a matter of minutes. “The latest Star Power Pack Drop featured player cards from the Indian and Australian cricket teams that will participate in a bilateral series that kicks off today, September 20. It had one Australian and one Indian player card, with differing skill sets, per pack including the likes of Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins. The prices of the packs ranged from $4 to $150,” says the NFT platform press statement.
Speaking on the partnership, Arshdeep Singh said, “I am super excited for the exclusive partnership with Rario to launch my own non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Singh was part of the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022 and has been one of the key strike bowlers for the Punjab Kings in the IPL. “His addition to our line-up of players will further strengthen the global cricket fandom that Rario is creating,” Wadhwa added.
Arshdeep Controversy
On Sunday, September 4, Arshdeep Singh dropped a catch to give Asif Ali a lifeline in the dying stages of the Asia Cup 2022 Super 4 match between India and Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This led to a controversy. After the match, the 23-year-old Arshdeep was subjected to hateful comments. The situation worsened to an extent that his Wikipedia page was changed to ‘Khalistani’.
