Johnnie Walker, the global Scotch Whisky brand, and NFT marketplace BlockBar, are teaming up to release a limited edition digital collection of the world-renowned scotch whisky.
The NFT will be part of the celebration of an international cultural arts moment scheduled for December at SCOPE Miami Beach, according to a press release published on 18 November and is designed to collectors the opportunity to sample an immersive whisky experience of the Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

According to the press release by Diageo (LON: DGE), the beverage alcohol giant that’s behind Johnnie Walker and other global brands such as Crown Royal, Smirnoff, Casamigos, Captain Morgan and Baileys, the NFT drop is also a result of a partnership with music and arts collective 88rising, and Web3 consultancy platform Vayner.
Specifically, the NFT collection is the work of Junghoon Vandy Son, the streetwear designer popular as VANDYTHEPINK. The artist will help create a unique John Walker Blue Label bottle.
Commenting on the partnership and the release of an NFT of the iconic brand, Sophie Kelly, Senior VP of Whiskies, Diageo North America, said:
“We are thrilled to be pushing boundaries in Web3 as this is a first of its kind creator collaboration with an NFT marketplace, ultimately allowing the BlockBar community to play with unique VANDYTHEPINK icons to co-create a one-of-a-kind Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottle with us.”
The NFTs will be available to the public on 22 November, 2022 at 10:00 am ET on BlockBar.com. The NFT is priced at $355 (roughly 0.30 Ether), and can be bought with Ethereum or credit card.
