Vaulta, Fosun Team Up to Power Blockchain Infrastructure in Hong Kong

Vaulta, formerly EOS Network, and its digital banking platform, exSat, have partnered with Fosun Wealth Holdings to introduce blockchain infrastructure to Hong Kong’s financial sector. This collaboration leverages Fosun Wealth’s newly launched virtual asset business, FinChain, to integrate blockchain technology into traditional finance. Fosun International, the parent conglomerate, boasts a diverse portfolio spanning insurance and healthcare across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, providing a significant existing market presence.

The core of the partnership involves Vaulta providing its comprehensive BankingOS suite, while exSat will serve as the crucial on-chain banking layer for FinChain. This layer will facilitate key functions, including asset issuance, yield generation, and crypto payments. This integration is significant because it allows Vaulta and exSat to utilize Fosun’s established financial licenses and robust real-world asset (RWA) issuance capabilities. This strategic move provides a regulatory pathway for scaling blockchain-native banking services, mitigating the hurdles typically associated with navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

According to a press release, Zhao Chen, Director of Digital Assets at Fosun Wealth, highlighted the partnership’s importance in bringing the necessary infrastructure for FinChain’s success. He stated that Vaulta and exSat provide the crucial product vision and digital banking capabilities required to materialize FinChain’s ambitious goals. The collaboration marks a significant step in Vaulta’s rebranding strategy and broader expansion into institutional-grade blockchain finance.

The partnership is poised to catalyze further collaborations focused on developing Web3 financial infrastructure not only in Asia but globally. This alliance represents a pivotal moment in the adoption of blockchain technology within established financial systems, signaling a potential shift towards more decentralized and efficient financial services. The combined strengths of Vaulta’s technological prowess and Fosun’s established financial network suggest a powerful synergy capable of reshaping the financial landscape. The success of this initiative could serve as a template for similar collaborations, driving wider adoption of blockchain technology in the financial industry.
