ETH Price Surges as $2.9B Inflows, EthCC, and Robinhood’s L2 Fuel Bullish Sentiment

Ether (ETH) experienced a 3.5% surge in the past 24 hours, reaching $2,519 as of 18:59 UTC on June 30. This upward trend is supported by robust institutional demand, ongoing network upgrades, and significant integrations with major retail platforms. CoinShares data highlights strong institutional interest, reporting $429 million in net inflows into ether investment products over the past week and nearly $2.9 billion year-to-date.

This influx of institutional investment coincides with a decrease in ETH supply on exchanges and a rise in staking levels. Over 35 million ETH—approximately 28% of the total supply—is now locked in proof-of-stake contracts. Market analysts attribute this to a reduction in liquid supply, bolstering the long-term investment case for ETH.

Adding to the positive momentum, Robinhood announced plans to develop its own Layer-2 blockchain using Arbitrum’s rollup infrastructure. While not yet live, this initiative will eventually support Ethereum staking, tokenized stock trading, and perpetual crypto futures, demonstrating confidence in Ethereum’s scalability roadmap. Further reinforcing this positive outlook, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin unveiled a new digital identity framework employing zero-knowledge proofs. This framework enables users to verify credentials without revealing private data, a crucial step towards broader adoption of decentralized applications requiring secure user authentication.

The Ethereum Community Conference (EthCC) in Cannes further showcased the thriving Ethereum ecosystem. The event, which attracted over 6,400 attendees and 500 speakers, highlighted ongoing developer momentum through presentations on new tools, scaling strategies, and protocol improvements.

Technical analysis reveals ETH traded between $2,438.50 and $2,523 from June 29 19:00 to June 30 18:00, a 3.47% range. A significant price spike occurred on June 29 between 22:00–23:00 UTC, with ETH surging 2.9%. Strong support was observed around $2,438 on June 30, confirming a bullish floor. While ETH remains slightly below its 200-day moving average, the combination of institutional inflows, developer advancements, and scaling initiatives suggests a constructive outlook for ETH.
