Analyst Says ETH Could Hit $13K as Early as Q4, With $8K as Conservative Target
Ether (ETH) price predictions are surging, with prominent crypto analyst “Wolf” forecasting a potential rise to $13,000 by the fourth quarter of 2024. While this represents an optimistic scenario, even his conservative estimate places ETH above $8,000—a significant increase from its current price. Wolf anticipates continued growth following new all-time highs, although he cautions a 20-25% correction might follow, a “final shakeout” before further gains.
This bullish sentiment is bolstered by increasing institutional investment. SharpLink Gaming (SBET), a Nasdaq-listed company, recently added 77,210 ETH to its treasury, bringing its total holdings to 438,017 ETH—approximately $1.69 billion, making it the largest publicly traded corporate ETH holder. This significant purchase follows the appointment of a former BlackRock executive as co-CEO and further demonstrates growing institutional confidence.
The overall sentiment surrounding ETH has dramatically shifted. Placeholder Ventures partner Chris Burniske highlights this remarkable turnaround, noting ETH’s transition from a widely disliked asset to a community favorite in just five weeks. This sentiment shift is reflected in the token’s 73% increase since June 23rd.
Technical analysis supports the positive outlook. CoinDesk Research’s data reveals a 3.11% increase in ETH’s price between July 27th and 28th, breaking through key resistance levels on strong volume. This confirms a new support zone and suggests a potential move towards $3,950–$4,000. A final surge in the trading session, accompanied by elevated volume, further reinforces the presence of significant institutional buying at breakout levels. Currently trading at $3,884 (up 2% in the last 24 hours), ETH’s upward trajectory is attracting considerable attention within the cryptocurrency market. The combination of substantial institutional investment and positive technical indicators contributes to the growing bullish narrative surrounding ether.
