Matthew M Williams loves collaborations, having used the creative format to both elevate his own brand 1017 ALYX 9SM and the House he currently designs for, Givenchy. Now, following on from Givenchy’s collaboration with (B).STROY, the two are expanding their effort for the drop of the TK-360+ Mid, coming in three unique colorways.
This is the first time Williams’ futuristic single-piece knitted sneaker has been turned into a mid-top style. It features all the usual TK-360+ elements like heat-bonded grid graphics across the upper, colorways such as “Black/Silver,” “Blue/Green” and “Red/Orange” that fade from one hue to another, and the integrated sole unit and outsole plugs, but now gains (B).STROY’s “B” emblem on the toe box and a higher-cut collar.
The result is a chukka silhouette that leans towards even more technical, futuristic themes, falling into realms often explored by the likes of Y-3 with its iconic Qasa sneaker. Naturally, we find the House’s new 4G logo on the shoe and inside it too.
To further celebrate the release of the reworked sneaker, the limited-edition “Blue/Green” colorway comes with a complimentary digital NFT. While this is not exclusive to the shoe, as there are six items in the (B).STROY collaboration that comes with an NFT, this particular one that’s with the shoe is unique and will be a twin of the physical shoe itself. Each NFT is designed by FELT Zine’s artist community and curated by Matthew M Williams, and more about the NFT process can be read here.
As for the sneakers, each costs $1,050 USD and is expected to drop online and in Givenchy boutiques imminently.
