Johnnie Walker, the premium whisky brand, in partnership with BlockBar, 88rising and Vayner3, is releasing a Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottle and NFT. The limited edition collection exclusively released on BlockBar includes 250 NFTs with artwork by Vandy the Pink. The holders will also have access to an immersive whiskey experience on December 1 at Art Basel.
The VANDYTHEPINK x Johnnie Walker Blue Label limited edition collection will be available on BlockBar from November 22. Early access will commence on November 21 for BlockBar’s Johnnie Walker token holders, Johnnie Walker POAP holders and selected Web3 community members. Moreover, only legal drinkers can purchase the $355 bottle. In detail, the owner will receive an NFT representing proof of ownership once the bottle is purchased. BlockBar will keep the bottle until the owner is ready to burn the NFT to receive the physical product. Also, owners of the NFT can trade their digital assets on the BlockBar marketplace.
Following the successful release of the Ghost & Rare NFT, the collaboration is presenting a brand-new art experience for whisky lovers. BlockBar, in collaboration with Vayner3, is allowing NFT holders to participate in a “token-gated voting experience.” This will allow holders to vote on artwork that will be featured on the physical bottle the holders will receive. To clarify, there will be five designs created by Vandy the Pink that the holders can choose. This includes designs such as Harmonious Clouds, Bold Dragon, Royal Fan, Maturing Flowers and Balanced fish. It’s worth mentioning that this is the first time Vandy the Pink’s artwork will appear in the NFT space.
“Inspired by the complex harmony and depth of character, I wanted my artwork to be emblematic of the balance within the bottle while representing the communities Johnnie Walker and 88rising bring together,” said Junghoon Vandy Son, AKA Vandy the Pink.
Furthermore, after December 1 once the voting results are in, the Johnnie Walker Blue Label NFT will update. The NFT will display the most-voted artwork on the bottle and become the official design of the Vandy the Pink x Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottles. Further, all holders who burn their NFT will receive the limited-edition Blue Label bottle with the design.
The utilities don’t end there! Johnnie Walker NFT holders will also get VIP access to V at SCOPE at Art Basel on December 1. In addition, they’ll meet Vandy the Pink and receive signed commemorative artwork by the artist. Lastly, holders will experience a Blue Label specialty cocktail taste test.
