Artists Ryder Ripps and Jeremy Cahen—who allegedly sold knock-off Bored Ape nonfungible tokens—appealed a Los Angeles federal judge’s decision to deny their Anti-Strategic Lawsuit against Public Participation motion against Bored Ape maker Yuga Labs Inc.
The appeal was docketed Thursday in the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit after US District Judge John F. Walter denied the motion on Dec. 16.
