According to a press release sent to AfroTech, Doja Cat has teamed up with JBL to release their Fresh Fruit by Doja Cat x JBL NFT. The “Say So” singer worked closely on the collaboration and even artfully conceptualized the 3D fruit-themed JBL headphones herself.
“Sound transcends time and space, and who better to turn music into an out-of-this-world phy-gital experience than Doja Cat,” said Bill Wyman, Vice President of Integrated Marketing, HARMAN, according to a press release. “Doja connects with her fans in progressive, authentic ways. Dropping ‘Fresh Fruit’ – JBL’s first NFT series – ahead of JBL Fest 2022 opens access to our fans and allows us to build a genuine relationship with our community.”
Five drops will be made available to fans from Aug. 25 until Sept. 1 through OneOf and those who purchase the Fresh Fruit by Doja Cat x JBL NFT could receive an opportunity to attend the JBL Fest 2022, headlined by Doja Cat, in Las Vegas from Sept. 27 to 29.
Added perks for buyers include early access to JBL products, events, and augmented reality simulations.
“OneOf is thrilled to partner with JBL and Doja Cat for her second NFT drop,” said Adam Fell, Co-Founder and CSO of OneOf, and President of Quincy Jones Productions, according to a press release. “It’s an exciting opportunity for fans to participate in JBL Fest 2022 and with eBay’s support, furthers our mission of giving users the tools to dive deeper into the Web3 space like never before.”
