LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / August 23, 2022 / Ellie Burnett is the founder and entrepreneur behind the Rad Rabbits collective, an NFT project that features 111 unique 1:1 NFTs, released on the 11th of each month. Each Rabbit is a unique NFT, custom-designed and hand-drawn, free from any computer-assisted design. The idea behind the project is to create an innovative collectible NFT brand that stands on accepting people just the way they are.
At first, like many others, Burnett wasn’t an expert on NFTs, but for the naturally curious businesswomen, the space was a no-brainer to get into.
“The concept to me was so interesting, so I started researching. Since I am creative and an entrepreneur at heart, I felt a big interest in Web 3 and NFTs. I fell in love with this space and the people involved. It’s a very niche industry, and I wanted to keep learning,” says Burnett.
Burnett says that not only is the creativity and community inherent what attracts her about the space but also the decentralized nature of blockchain.
“I truly believe in giving power to artists and having control over your funds,” she says. “It’s like once you’re in this space, you keep going further down the rabbit hole (haha). It is ever-changing and evolving, and it’s so interesting and fun!”
Although the project has already been a wild success, the entrepreneur wasn’t always sure of her path forward.
“A couple years before I started Rad Rabbits, I was actually dealing with anxiety and fear about my future. I was just graduating college and was overwhelmed with what was in front of me and what was on my plate.”
It was only after working in an unsatisfying retail job and finding out about NFTs that Burnett’s intuition suddenly kicked in.
“I started noticing 1111, 111 and 11 on the clock. I started seeing it literally everywhere I went. I truly haven’t experienced that before in my life, I felt like in my gut that this was right for me and that that was a way of confirming that,” says Burnett.
Fast forward to 2022, Burnett has gotten the project off the ground by collaborating with talented individuals in the community.
“I have an amazing artist, and we make the best team. After researching and deciding to launch a NFT collection and brand, I approached our artist with the idea. He was super excited, and we started creating a variety of different animals.”
As far as the concept for rabbits goes, Burnett says that it was the animals’ universality that really resonated with her.
“One thing that stood out to me was how rabbits have similar meaning in all cultures. I wanted something that anyone and everyone can relate to,” she says.
The main future goal for Rad Rabbits is expanding the 2D rabbits into the Metaverse within the next year with “The Warren,” a rabbit ecosystem where the species live. Rad Rabbits plans to digitize this world, creating a Web 3 space where collectors can jump down the rabbit hole and interact with other Rabbits and NFT collectors.
“We are all created equally and I want to create a community where my holders feel they can be themselves. A place where they feel the good vibes and energy bouncing off the walls, a place they leave feeling happy,” says Burnett.
To enhance the uniqueness and rarity of the project’s characters, the project has been designed so that each Rabbit comes with exclusive items. The NFT also provides complimentary entry into the official Rad Party in Los Angeles in 2023.
Looking ahead, Burnett says she sees the project forming into an NFT brand.
“I have plans to create merchandise, hopes to collaborate with other artists and brands and I see Rad Rabbits expanding into physical art figures as well,” says Burnett.
The following series of the NFT collection will launch on the 11th of every other month, with the last launch in January of 2023.
