A butt named The Butties, or Moncul for French natives, a cartoonish character, so sweet yet authentic. Signed as an Artist at Jardin Orange, a Shenzhen, China-based gallery and artistic residency, Zekey also exposes in Toulouse, south of France. Since his first exhibition, he has generated a strong and keen interest in his character and has, moreover created a true community of Butties lovers, growing at a fast pace. As the artist says himself, “From now you will not have to hide anymore to stare at people’s butts.”
“I have known Zekey for more than 20 years, I have followed his artistic evolution, from then, to what he has created now…his universe, his alter egos. I have never seen him elsewhere in fact. His artistic concept could easily come from a Pixar studio. He has the right faith for the butties to become icons. For me, they are already cult!” shared the international artist Ceet Fouad, who started the Chikanos movement.
Butt Island: The island of 10000 Butties.
The storytelling of the NFT project and everything surrounding it shows a fully grown concept.
“With the team, we are currently working on a treasure hunting RPG (role-playing game), which would take place in the Metaverse. The Butties are little creatures who just landed on an island called Butt Island, where a treasure hunt would take place. NFT owners will be rewarded with goodies, artworks, etc…We want to create a unique and friendly place”, explain the artist Zekey.
Zekey and his 7 studio collaborators drop their collection of 10 000 NFT, all unique. The artist has worked with more than 170 accessories allowing for the creation of 10 000 Butties with a hundred left for the rarest. All drawn and accessorized by the artist himself! Combos and possibilities are all more cult from one to another.
