Leading football media platform, OneFootball is gearing up to launch its latest NFT collection, The Tifosi Selection, tomorrow, 31 January at 16:00 CET. The collection features 10 rare moments of footballers from the first half of the 2022/23 Serie A season, all selected by the community. What’s more, fans will also have a chance to win a signed jersey from the Italian teams, Inter Milan or AC Milan.
Here’s all you need to know about the Tifosi Selection NFT collection from OneFootball:
Tifosi Selection, which translates to “football fans” in Italian, is OneFootball’s fitting tribute to Italian football fans. Selected by community members themselves, the collection features 10 rare moments of some of the world’s greatest players and fans. While eight of these are hidden in packs, the remaining can be exclusively obtained through different challenges.
The Serie A Tifosi Selection collection is based on the Flow blockchain. To be sure, OneFootball first announced its global partnership with Lega Serie A to launch officially licensed NFTs in July 2022. In addition, the venture was built in collaboration with Web3 companies, Dapper Labs and Animoca Brands. The joint venture also raised $300 million in funding led by Liberty City Ventures.
Furthermore, those participating in the Tifosi NFT drop will have the unique opportunity to win a signed jersey from either Inter Milan or AC Milan. Notably, football’s greatest, such as Ibrahimović, Giroud, Hernández, Leão, and Tomori has signed the AC Milan jersey. On the other hand, the Inter Milan jersey is signed by Lukaku, Martínez, Dumfries, Džeko, and Barella. All in all, 10 jerseys from each club are up for grabs. However, only those who complete the set will have the chance to win a jersey.
With its Tifosi Selection NFT drop, OneFootball is also introducing the concept of “sets”. To explain, each Serie A collector will get a chance to complete sets of varying difficulty. And the higher the difficulty, the higher the rewards.
Moreover, the Serie A collection is vast, with every collectible in the collection playing an important role in completing future sets. That’s not all! All those who complete the set will receive an exclusive Epic EA Sports Supercup Moment!
All in all, the collection will include 500 packs, each costing $25. Collectors will need a Dapper Wallet to buy the packs. The drop will be available on the official OneFootball marketplace, Aera.
OneFootball Labs is a joint venture by football media platform, OneFootball; Animoca Brands; and Liberty City Ventures. Launched in 2022, the venture allows clubs, leagues, federations, and players to release premium digital assets and experiences.
“OneFootball aims to be at the forefront of the Web3 era, helping clubs, leagues, federations and players build more direct relationships with fans and creating new digital experiences,” the company added in a press release.
