Spielworks, a leading blockchain startup specialising in gaming and decentralised finance (DeFi) solutions, has announced the upcoming launch of “Dungeon Worlds,” a massive expansion to its popular “Dungeon Master” game. Influencers and NFT creators can now run their own dungeons, propagating their NFT collections, while providing additional utilities and experiences on their own terms, including rewards. The expansion goes live soon on the Wax blockchain with land sales beginning on December 29. The first drops on Polygon will take place in February ahead of the public launch in May.
Despite the crypto bear market, investors have poured more than $3.4 billion in private NFT and blockchain gaming companies through Q3 of this year. With hundreds of millions of NFTs across multiple networks already issued, and billions, or even trillions, of them to be minted over the coming years, blockchain-gaming platforms have an opportunity to build games that drastically expand the P2E user base.
Spielworks’s flagship game, “Dungeon Master,” demonstrated the power of engaging with creators and brands via NFTs. Now, with the launch of “Dungeon Worlds,” Spielworks expands the Wombat ecosystem by bringing user-owned NFT staking experiences. In “Dungeon Worlds,” just like in the original “Dungeon Master” game, community-run dungeons are organised in seasons, with each one starting and ending across all dungeons.
To create a dungeon, a user must hold land in the form of a 3×3 patch. The plots of land will initially be dropped as NFTs on the WAX and Polygon blockchains before being added to others, like Ethereum. In the game, each blockchain features a 64×64 tile-sized map of lands. At the end of each season, “Dungeon Worlds” will award all community-led dungeons with a prize pool of 100 million $WOMBAT tokens. Additional features include competitions, cross-dungeon equipment, clans, and the “Overlord Principle,” which comes with a set of special privileges within the game.
Spielworks has built one of the fastest-growing blockchain gaming ecosystems in the market, featuring a total of 3 million signups and 65,000 daily users. The ecosystem incorporates its multi-chain non-custodial Wombat Wallet, crypto rewards platform Womplay featuring 40 AA and AAA supported titles and Top 20 NFT staking game Wombat Dungeon Master counting 1.5 million staked NFTs.
“We have invested so much time and energy building up to this moment and we are really proud of the hard work that we’ve put into Dungeon Worlds. Dungeon Worlds brings so many awesome new features that will resonate with our community. In addition to these new features, down the road we are planning to introduce multi-chain dungeons, a battle mode, clan wars, Dungeon DAOs, and more,” Adrian Krion, CEO and Co-Founder of Spielworks, said.

Outplay Entertainment, the largest independent mobile game developer in the UK, has partnered with Gordon Ramsay to set a new challenge for players of its culinary mobile puzzle game, Gordon Ramsay’s Chef Blast, to win an all-expenses paid trip to London.
For the chance of winning the free-to-enter competition, starting at 10:00 am GMT on December 16, players must defeat 10 levels in the game and enter before the competition closes on January 13. The competition prize includes free travel, accommodation at a central London hotel and exclusive dining experiences at Gordon Ramsay’s Lucky Cat and Bread Street Kitchen & Bar. A cookery class at the Gordon Ramsay Academy will also be included in the prize, where the lucky winner will learn to make the Culinary Genius’ signature dish, a Beef Wellington. The competition is open to players in the US, Canada and UK, and the winner will be notified on January 15.
In addition to the giveaway, a new Side Map event is taking place from December 23 until December 28. Players will collect, earn or buy in-game tickets by blasting through levels, unlocking the ability to travel to London in-game and play a series of special levels to test their skills. Exclusive recipes and kitchen accessories will be available to win, including the winter exclusive recipe of Kabocha Squash Mac ‘n’ Cheese, alongside Pork & Chive Dumplings with Black Vinegar Dipping Sauce. The latest Side Map event follows the Paris Side Map event, which took place on December 2.
“It’s great to finish the year with an exclusive new giveaway for Gordon Ramsay’s Chef Blast, providing our players the chance to win a luxury London escape for two, including an amazing dining experience at two of Chef Ramsay’s restaurants, plus an opportunity to level up their cooking skills at the Gordon Ramsay Academy. Coinciding with this, we’re transporting our players to London in-game with our latest special event where players can enjoy an exclusive set of levels and the opportunity to win rewards,” Richard Hare, President & Co-founder of Outplay Entertainment, said.

Low6, the award-winning leader in sports gamification, has partnered with global sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE and Be Media, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, to deliver an NFT-led Fantasy Football game for the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022, which runs from December 20 to January 16, 2023.
ONSIDE Fantasy Football is the first of its kind in the Southeast Asian sporting landscape and will see the prestigious ASEAN football championship come to life in the Web3 space. The digital collectibles minted and distributed via the ONSIDE collection platform will be used to enhance the gameplay in Low6’s hugely successful UltimateFan franchise.
The innovative whitelabel game issues and rewards players with ‘packdrops’ which reveal footballers and teams cards to create lineups for each contest. With points being earned from the real-life performances, players will compete on a global contest leaderboard as well against friends, family and colleagues in Invitational Private Leagues. The recently announced NFT collection can be applied to a player’s squad to boost their points score.
UltimateFan has already proved to be a huge hit for Low6 with over ¼ million instals for the game to date. It has published versions for the NFL Cincinnati Bengals, LA Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars, as well as a World Cup game for Flutter’s Sportsbet brand that charted as the Number 1 Free App in the App Store and Number 1 Top Free Sport App in the Google Play Store within the Australian region. The whitelabel game has scooped “Fantasy Product” and “Innovation of the Year” at the EGR Awards as well as Low6 being recognised as “B2B Fantasy & DFS Supplier” at the EGR B2B Awards 2022.
Jamie Mitchell, Low6 CEO comments “Animoca are paving the way with building out the metaverse and we’re thrilled to be partnering with them with this innovative fantasy game for the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup. Given the success of UltimateFan, we’re confident that our leading sports game will provide a hugely engaging experience for fans as well as showcasing the value of NFTs within the gaming space.”
Malcolm Thorpe, Managing Director, South East Asia at SPORTFIVE said: “We are proud to partner with Low6 to bring about an unparalleled experience for our fans of the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup. By adding an aspect of gamification to ONSIDE, we are able to provide regional fans a new and fun way to engage with the NFT collectibles and grow these groundbreaking digital assets further within the Southeast Asia sporting landscape.”
