Replicant X is the next chapter in the Character X saga and the beginning of on-chain community driven storytelling. This collection of 7,777 mintable NFTs is made up of hundreds of exciting visual traits designed by Seth Green’s Stoopid Buddy Stoodios and hand selected by Steve Aoki.

But Replicant X isn’t just your average collectible jpg. It is his fans’ entry into a new type of community driven, gamified storytelling. This is the fans’ chance to help write Dominion X as it goes into production and is memorialized as the first community-driven NFT animated TV series.
As a continuation of Aoki’s NFT project DominionX, the stop-motion short that launched in August 2021 and sold out in under seven seconds, the new drop, Replicant X, is the latest chapter in Steve’s mascot Character X’s saga. The collection is made up of colorful and imaginative visuals designed by Seth Green’s Stoopid Buddy Stoodios and each character has been hand-selected by Aoki.
What sets this apart from past launches is the interactivity of it all: with a Mad Libs-style approach to the utility that allows community members to guide the direction of the character’s story as it unfolds.
This revolutionary opportunity will allow fans to suggest, change and vote into existence the storyline as a unified front.
An Allowlist Mint will occur on September 7, 2022 and open to previous Aoki and Seth Green NFT holders including A0K1VERSE Passport, Stoopid Monkey, Pizza Bot, Dominion X, and Dream Catcher NFTs featuring Character X.
The public mint with a sale price to be announced, is launching on Ethereum and is set for September 8, 2022. A free airdrop will be sent to select A0K1VERSE Passport tiers on September 9, 2022. More details to be announced in the coming weeks.
This mint of Replicant X will fund the first few episodes of the TV series “Dominion X”, the pilot which immediately went down in history as the first stop-motion short to be minted on the blockchain. The short launched in 2021 on Nifty Gateway – one of the first to be launched in this unique and future-defining manner.
Directed by Eric Towner and produced by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, the series is based on Aoki’s Character X, who first appeared in Steve’s debut NFT drop “Dream Catcher” and is lovingly referred to as the music icon’s personal mascot. The series introduced a new way of interacting with media: one where fans were able to own a piece of the creation, both physically and digitally, before it officially launched.
Replicant X will bring fans of Steve Aoki’s playful Web3 universe even closer into this close-knit, exclusive community A0K1VERSE, providing them with the tools to contribute to the NFT-fueled evolution in a tangible and digital way. By offering a chance to help write an animated series before it goes into full production, Steve asks – how will they tell the Dominion X story?
Replicant X is a PFP collection that will act as an Aoki mascot as he continues to establish himself in the NFT world. A derivative of the Dominion X community, the collection will feature a series of animated loops with original Aoki beats that will invite viewers to partake in the gamified storytelling as it develops in real time.
