Vera Bradley, the lifestyle and fashion accessories brand, is entering the Metaverse and creating various NFT collections. The genesis NFT collection is now live and celebrates 40 years of fabulous fashion. Significantly, the ‘Heritage Pass’ (the debut NFT collection) acts as a Mint Pass. Not only this, but each of the 440 NFT tokens comes with a physical, limited-edition ‘Jilly Bag’ in one of the four heritage prints.
You can now buy your Vera Bradley NFT for $82 (0.045 ETH).
Founded in 1982 by close friends Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller, Vera Bradley is a household name in the designer fashion industry. With a strong focus on women’s handbags, luggage, fashion accessories and much more, the brand also has a global following.
People associate the Vera Bradley name with colorful, innovative designs and patterns, along with high quality. Now, it is entering the Web3 world with the introduction of The World of Vera Bradley.
“Together, we are Vera Bradley, and we look forward to bringing our colorful world to life in Web3, where we can pioneer new opportunities for women today, tomorrow, and for years to come”, the website states.
Vera Bradley is well known for their Jilly bag and the iconic patterns that adorn them. So, with the Heritage Pass, buyers will receive one of four surprise exclusive patterns. Furthermore, each of the 440 NFTs is redeemable for a physical version of their bag.
Additionally, early adopters will get early access to purchase the second NFT, launching in October, before anyone else!
The second NFT drop by Vera Bradley is named The 1982 Collection and contains 1,982 generated backgrounds, made from 40 archived prints. This collection commemorates the year Vera Bradley was founded, and costs $19.82. The NFTs are available from October 1st to the 2nd for presale (Heritage Pass holders). However, the public sale begins October 3rd.
Combining original prints (including rare signature pink prints in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month), and generative technology, this is a genuinely unique NFT collection.
Significantly, 100% of primary net proceeds from the Heritage Pass and second NFT collection, will support The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.
Jennifer Bova, VP of Marketing, Vera Bradley, stated, “With the launch of the World of Vera Bradley and our first NFT collections, we will create an authentic and connected community of digital asset holders through innovation, vision, and a consumer-first approach. This is another experience to strengthen Vera Bradley’s sisterhood, utilizing Web3 and fundraising for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.”
Fashion is a growing market in the NFT space. Therefore, a growing number of companies now realize the full potential behind the technology. In the future, this could become a valuable market for the fashion industry.
