Ziggy Marley is a world famous singer, songwriter, and musician who has received Grammy Awards and a Daytime Emmy Award for his work.
Being the son of Reggae icon Bob Marley, Ziggy was surrounded by talented musicians since the day he was born. So far, he released 22 albums.
Besides being a talented musician, Ziggy Marley is an active philanthropist.
As founder of the U.R.G.E. Foundation, Ziggy works to improve educational, health, and community environments for children.
U.R.G.E acts worldwide, but their main acting areas include Jamaica and Ethiopia, among other African countries. U.R.G.E.’s missions include action and awareness.
On October 17th at 3 pm ET, Ziggy Marley will drop an exclusive NFT series on Tezos.
Through the NFT drop in partnership with NFT platform OneOf, Ziggy Marley aims to raise funds that will be donated to the U.R.G.E. Foundation. The NFT’s will be minted on the Tezos blockchain.
Marley’s iconic track “Beach in Hawaii” is the foundation of the collection and features incredible artwork by iconic American comic book creator and artist, Jim Mahfood.
Jim Mahfood is an American comic book creator that has created artwork for Marvel Comics and comic books based on Kevin Smith’s movie Clerks.
He has worked with Ziggy Marley before and collaborated with him and Joe Casey to produce the comic book “Marijuana Man”.
“NFTs from Ziggy’s “Beach in Hawaii” Collection include the chance to co-design a special, limited edition drop of Ziggy merch with 50% royalties; a chance to win a guitar signed by Ziggy; LIFETIME access (two tickets) to Ziggy Marley headlining shows; a flyaway vacation to see Ziggy Marley at a music festival; personalized video message from Ziggy; Ziggy merch and much more.
All NFT holders will also receive the exclusive, never-before-heard, original demo recording of “Beach In Hawaii” dropped in their vault, as well as the official ‘Beach in Hawaii’ NFT artwork created by renowned comic book artist Jim Mahfood.”
