AVAX Rebounds From Key Support After 6% Plunge

Avalanche (AVAX) has demonstrated resilience following a recent price drop, exhibiting signs of stabilization according to CoinDesk Research’s technical analysis. While experiencing a 5.6% decline in the past 24 hours, AVAX underperformed the broader cryptocurrency market, as the CoinDesk 20 index (excluding stablecoins, memecoins, and exchange tokens) only saw a 3.2% decrease during the same period. This relative underperformance suggests a potential for future recovery.

A deeper dive into the technical analysis reveals a significant recovery from a 6.46% price drop. Crucially, a substantial support zone emerged between $20.76 and $20.85, marked by high trading volume and strong buying pressure. This surge in buying activity effectively reversed the downward trend, a key indicator of market sentiment shifting from bearish to bullish.

The price action prior to this recovery displayed a classic descending channel pattern, with resistance situated at $21.65. The price decisively broke through this resistance level after surpassing $21.20, demonstrating a clear overcoming of a significant barrier. The subsequent price movement formed a distinct V-shaped reversal pattern, characterized by strong buying momentum concentrated around the psychologically important $21 support level.

This V-shaped recovery was further bolstered by heavy accumulation, evidenced by trading volumes exceeding 23,000 units per minute. This high volume confirms the significant buying pressure driving the price upward. The $20.76-$21.00 zone is now identified as a crucial demand area, suggesting that this price range could act as a robust support level in the near future. Traders should monitor this area closely for potential buy or sell signals. The combination of technical indicators, including the V-shaped reversal, high-volume support, and breakout from the descending channel, paints a cautiously optimistic picture for AVAX’s short-term price trajectory. However, continued monitoring of market conditions remains crucial for informed decision-making.
