AVAX Up 4.2% as It Establishes Uptrend Channel

AVAX, Avalanche’s native token, exhibited notable short-term strength, surging from $20.91 to a high of $22.47—a 7.4% increase—as indicated by CoinDesk Research’s technical analysis. This upward movement was followed by a minor 1.65% correction. Over the past 24 hours, AVAX has shown a 4.2% rise, outperforming the CoinDesk 20 index (which tracks the top 20 cryptocurrencies excluding exchange tokens, memecoins, and stablecoins) by 0.5%. The index itself experienced a 3.7% increase during the same period.

The price action was fueled by two significant high-volume breakout periods. The first surge, a 5% jump, coincided with a trading volume exceeding 1.4 million, while the second saw a 2.1% gain on a volume of 1.8 million. This substantial volume underscores the strength of the buying pressure driving the price increase.

A robust support level has emerged between $21.53 and $21.63. The overall trend remains bullish, as the price consistently stays above these key support zones, indicating a sustained positive momentum.

The price experienced considerable volatility within the last hour. After reaching its peak of $22.47, AVAX underwent a 1.65% correction. However, temporary support quickly materialized between $21.80 and $21.82, facilitating a swift recovery and the formation of an uptrend channel characterized by progressively higher lows. This recovery pattern closely resembles a V-shaped recovery, further highlighting the strong buying pressure that countered the brief selloff.

The confluence of factors—high-volume breakouts, established support levels, and a V-shaped recovery—suggests a positive outlook for AVAX in the short term. The sustained price action above key support zones and the strong buying pressure observed after the minor correction reinforce the bullish sentiment. However, it’s crucial to remember that cryptocurrency markets are inherently volatile, and future price movements can be influenced by various unpredictable factors.
