BNB Climbs Toward $700 as $1B Token Burn and Corporate Treasury Plans Fuel Demand

BNB’s price surge towards $700 is driven by a confluence of factors, indicating strong upward momentum. A recent $1 billion token burn, the 32nd quarterly burn by Binance, permanently removed 1.59 million BNB from circulation, contributing to a deflationary strategy aiming for a total supply of 100 million tokens. This burn, totaling 265,605 BNB according to tracking websites, significantly impacts market dynamics.

The rising price isn’t solely attributed to the burn. Growing interest in BNB as a corporate treasury reserve is fueling the rally. Over 30 teams are reportedly developing strategies to utilize BNB in public company treasuries, with 10X Capital backing a plan for a $500 million U.S.-listed BNB treasury company. This institutional interest adds significant weight to the price appreciation.

Increased activity on the BNB Chain further underscores the asset’s growing adoption. Nansen data reveals a doubling of active addresses since March, currently hovering around 2.5 million daily. Average daily transaction volumes have also tripled, demonstrating significant network growth and usage.

Technical analysis supports the positive price movement. CoinDesk Research’s model shows a 2.77% gain over 24 hours, with a price range of $27.51 between a low of $667.61 and a high of $695.12. Trading volume spiked to 155,426 tokens, more than double the 24-hour average. Resistance is evident near $695.12, while support has formed around $667.61. The price consolidated within a narrow band after the initial rally, suggesting a period of stabilization before further potential upward movement. The strong support around $688.80-$689.00 indicates a firm base for continued growth.

The overall market context also plays a role. The broader cryptocurrency market rally, including Bitcoin reaching a new all-time high above $118,000, contributes to the positive sentiment surrounding BNB. The combination of the token burn, institutional interest, increased network activity, and supportive technical indicators positions BNB favorably for continued price appreciation, although the psychological barrier at $700 remains a key test.
