Bitcoin (BTC) maintains stability around $105,000 following the Federal Reserve’s anticipated decision to hold interest rates steady. This stability, lasting 42 days despite the Israel-Iran conflict, is attributed to the growing adoption of bitcoin as a treasury asset. The number of known publicly traded bitcoin holders has risen to 129, with a total of 235 including private companies and sovereign entities—a 27-entity increase in 30 days.

Geopolitical tensions remain high in the Middle East, with escalating military actions between Israel and Iran impacting global markets. Brent crude reached its highest level since January at $77.45, contributing to increased energy and food prices. European and US equity futures declined.

Key upcoming events include BlackCoin’s SegWit activation on June 20, ZIGChain’s mainnet launch on June 25, and the CME Group’s introduction of spot-quoted bitcoin, ether, and major US equity index futures on June 30 (pending regulatory approval). Several DAOs are holding governance votes, including Compound, Arbitrum, ApeCoin, and Polkadot. Significant token unlocks are scheduled for Optimism (June 30), Sui (July 1), and Ethena (July 2). Coinbase will delist several tokens on June 26.

Lion Group Holding (LGHL) secured a $600 million facility to relaunch its crypto operations and build the world’s largest HYPE treasury, anchored by Hyperliquid (HYPE), Solana (SOL), and Sui (SUI). The first tranche of $10.6 million is expected to close soon.

Derivatives open interest remains subdued, indicating de-risking despite market stabilization. BTC’s put/call ratio has increased, while ETH shows a more bullish stance. Funding rates are moderately positive for BTC and ETH, but altcoins show mixed signals. BTC’s price has remained within a 10% band for a record 42 days, creating a potentially volatile situation.
