If you talk about rally sport in Austria, you can’t avoid one name: Christof Klausner. The crowd favourite and drift specialist was a gifted motor sportsman known far beyond the borders of Austria.
A tragic motorbike accident tore him from the midst of life in 2021. For many, Christof Klausner is and remains a legend, not only because of his driving style, but also because of his car. He built his rally car — an Audi Quattro — himself and drove it to the end — it was his signature car. Now this “Ur Quattro” is to be rebuilt as part of the Christof Klausner Memorial Project — the car was completely destroyed in a race in 2020.
The K4 Rally Team supports this project with a special digital NFT edition.
“All fans can now buy and drive the race car in its legendary design in the K4 Rally game. It is a tribute to a true drift specialist and a very likeable sportsman” says Johannes Keferböck from the K4 Rally Racing Team. The proceeds from the sale of the digital NFT will support the rebuilding of the “Ur-Quattro” — 100%.
“The rebuilding of Chrisi’s Quattro is a heart’s desire for our team and his friends. With this NFT project we hope to let Chrisi and his legendary car live on in the digital world. The additional financial support helps us a lot to finish the project “Chrisi’s Urquattro” and to keep it alive for a long time. We would like to take this opportunity to thank K4 Rally for this unique support”, adds the Klausner Rally Team.
From now on, the NFT can be purchased on the official game website. Fans should be quick, though, because the edition of the racing car is limited to 1,000 pieces.
