On October 3rd, the Latin GRAMMY Awards announced its official NFT debut via a three-year partnership with leading web3 music platform OneOf. The debut drop will celebrate Latin music with a series of drops. Read on to learn more about the drop and everything around it!
The Latin GRAMMYs follow a similar path to the initial GRAMMY NFT drops celebrating their 64th annual ceremony. The latest drop honors Latin music and its creators across the world. The vision here is also to bridge the gap between music and visual arts. In order to do so, the OneOf drop is also handing out free NFTs!
Furthermore, the drop is designed to represent a specially-created Latin GRAMMYs-themed mural. To add to that, the artist chosen for the artwork is none other than exemplary muralist, painter, and graphic artiste – Quetzal Fuerte. This free mint NFT also throws in exclusive 2022 Awards vault content for collectors.
“OneOf is honored to be partnering with The Latin Recording Academy to host the Latin GRAMMYs’ first-ever NFTs,” said Adam Fell, OneOf Co-Founder and President of Quincy Jones Productions. “The Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards are the most important night of the year for Latin music, and this partnership will bring fans closer to the ceremony than ever before.”
The official Latin GRAMMYs telecast will air on Univision on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT). However, there has been no announcement regarding international broadcast dates as of yet. Grab yourself a music NFT from one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the world! You can stay up to date on the Latin GRAMMYs NFT drop via the official Drop page on OneOf.
