MasterCard is all set to collaborate with leading NFT marketplaces to offer easy NFT payment options to its users across all domains.
Mastercard Inks Partnerships With Leading NFT Marketplaces
As per its official press release, MasterCard is furthering its efforts to explore NFTs and growing web3 mechanisms by collaborating with central NFT marketplaces. The list includes some of the leading NFT marketplaces including Immutable X, Candy Digital, The Sandbox, Mintable, Spring, Nifty Gateway, and Web3 infrastructure provider MoonPay.
JUST IN: Mastercard has partnered with Immutable X, #Sandbox, Mintable, and others to allow NFT purchases without crypto.
As part of the plan, the company is collaborating with these NFT marketplaces to bolster its web3 presence and allow more users to buy NFTs directly from their cards, instead of buying the cryptocurrency first.
“We’re working with these companies to allow people to use their Mastercard cards for NFTs purchases, whether that’s on one of these companies’ marketplaces or using their crypto services. With 2.9 billion Mastercard cards worldwide, this change could have a big impact on the NFT ecosystem.” the PR later added.
The company intends to simplify the process of NFT commerce by facilitating direct NFT purchases for the users without additional hassles and complexities
“Buy the NFTs you want on the marketplace of your choice. No need to buy crypto first.”
The press release further cites an NFT survey conducted by MasterCard that claims that consumers are now searching for more flexible and adaptable methods to purchase NFTs in near future.
“A new MasterCard survey of more than 35,000 people in 40 countries found that 45% had purchased an NFT or would consider doing so, and roughly half sought more flexibility — being able to pay with crypto for everyday purchases or using a credit or debit card to buy an NFT.”
This is not the first time that MasterCard has decided to explore NFTs. In January 2022, the company had forged its first NFT venture with Coinbase by permitting its users to buy NFTs from the Coinbase NFT marketplace.
Mastercard is expanding its partnership with NFT marketplaces and #web3 providers to simplify the process of buying NFTs. Now anyone can buy an NFT with their Mastercard, without having to buy crypto first. Learn more: https://t.co/YOf3wPZW55
