MetaJuice has today announced the launch of a fully merged NFT Marketplace onto the social media IMVU metaverse. The official statement comes during the NFT.NYC gathering, and in Q3, over 1 million daily active users will have access to the NFT marketplace. 
Using the power of the existing IMVU community, MetaJuice has worked closed with IMVU creators for the first NFT collection. The brand new NFT marketplace is one of the first NFT marketplaces to be incorporated into an already established metaverse. It consists of in-world wearable clothing, and users can purchase these NFTS using VCOIN and VCORE soon.
The NFT marketplace will give IMVU users the ability to monetize their platform. They can choose to do this in several ways, including opening shops or via the secondary market. IMVU users will have full digital ownership and control of purchased items. This will give them the freedom to collect, display and resell items if they want to do so.
“The NFT marketplace will unlock new functionality our users are excited about, providing our 200,000 creators even more ways to earn. Introducing scarcity, proof of ownership, and ancillary benefits to virtual goods will supercharge the IMVU economy,” said Daren Tsui, CEO of Together Labs, the parent company of IMVU.
Significantly, the NFT marketplace is a partnership with Immutable X, which means there will be zero gas fees across the IMVU ecosystem.
IMVU is an online virtual world and social networking platform founded in 2004. Now, it is a metaverse space with more than 200,000 active IMVU creators. It is a top 5 grossing app in the iOS/Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Furthermore, millions of users customize their avatars and can explore over 40,000+ destinations in the metaverse.
MetaJuice, which builds blockchain economies, will launch its NFT marketplace inside IMVU. It is important to note that IMVU already has a huge economy, with more than 21.4 million monthly sales and a marketplace with more than 50 million virtual goods. 
“IMVU users have long purchased millions of dollars a month of digital goods,” John Burris, President of MetaJuice, stated. “With the increased benefits brought by exclusives, limited runs and resell, we believe NFTs will be additive to our already vibrant virtual economy.”
In the lead-up to the NFT marketplace launch, IMVU is launching a design challenge in partnership with metaverse fashion house Auroboros. The challenge is to create a unique digital design using iconic nature symbols and textures.
The contest will begin in the summer. The winners will see their designs become digital wearables and NFTs on the IMVU NFT marketplace. Additionally, the creators will also receive a share of the sales.
