January 17 – Liga Portugal and RealFevr have extended their digital collectibles partnership to include a two-season deal for the Allianz Cup (Portuguese League Cup) starting this season.
RealFevr is a Portuguese startup in the Web3/blockchain/NFT sector and focused on digital football collectibles in video format, including the gamification of the collectibles.
The digital collectibles are created using blockchain and NFT technology, and allow fans to create collections of Allianz Cup moments in video format, which can also be traded through RealFevr’s marketplace.
The Final Four of the 2022-23 Allianz Cup will be played January 24-28 in Leiria, with the digital collectibles being released just a few days later.
Fred Antunes, CEO of RealFevr said: “This partnership makes us immensely proud … it allows us to solidify and strengthen one of our most important and longstanding partnerships with an organization that has been a part of our journey over the last few years: Liga Portugal. Second, it positions us in the Web3 industry as one of the first companies to release a collection of sports moments from a competition that took place almost in real-time. It is a proof of concept that will certainly open doors for RealFevr to explore many other market opportunities.”
This will be RealFevr’s sixth drop following on from digital collectibles launched for th Portuguese League, Serie A, Beach Soccer Worldwide, and Spain’s Copa del Rey, which sold out in less than 24 hours.
Tiago Madureira, Liga Portugal’s Executive Director, said that the agreement pushes the organization deeper in the Web3 area and enabling fans to “share great moments from the Allianz Cup in the digital universe.”
