Singapore gallery offers NFT digitized art from vending machineImage provided by iStock.
Oct. 3, 2022
Art lovers in Singapore can redeem art for free from non-fungible tokens available from a vending machine at the National Gallery of Singapore as part of an effort to make art more accessible to the public, according to a report in The Strait Times.
Buyers are able to access the digitized art tokens by scanning a QR code. The tokens also provide a sense of ownership using blockchain technology.
The Y-Lab, an NSG art technology division, developed the platform with ArtWall Street, an art technology company.
The artworks for sale were commissioned by NGS based on works by an artist known as TheNextMostFamousArtist.
