NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are currently all the rage, with everyone from breweries, MLB and even Madonna hopping on the bandwagon. According to Forbes: “An NFT is a digital asset that represents real-world objects like art, music, in-game items and videos. They are bought and sold online, frequently with cryptocurrency, and they are generally encoded with the same underlying software as many cryptos.” With the recent relaunch of Snapple Elements, the beverage company is joining the NFT world with Snapple ElemeNFTs.
Snapple has partnered with three different artists. You may be familiar with rapper Tierra Whack, who released her debut album, Whack World, in 2018. She’s been performing and recording ever since.
Tierra Whack x Snapple Elements (Rain)
Contemporary artist Bradley Theodore first started out as a graffiti artist in NYC. He is now known for his colorful skeletal portraits of celebrities and icons. He is not new to collaborations, having previously worked with brands including Puma, Lego and Google.
Josh Goldenberg, aka Glassface is a digital artist. His many roles include directing and editing music videos, VFX artist and art director.
They have each developed one unique NFT that represents each of the Snapple Elements Flavors: Fire, Rain and Air. Each artist has imparted his/her unique style to create their limited edition digital piece of art.
A press release that Guilty Eats received notes:
The NFT collection includes the following digital art pieces:
2,000 FIRE NFTs designed by Bradley Theodore
2,000 AIR  NFTS designed by Glassface
1,000 RAIN NFTs designed by Tierra Whack
The NFT collection drops tomorrow, Wednesday, May 18th, on the NFT platform OneOf. Be sure to check the site to get a first look at the three Snapple ElemeNFTs. Snapple will be giving away 5,000 of these NFTs. By entering the sweepstakes now through May 23rd, via the Oneof site, you can potentially win one of them! Additionally, 50 entrants will also win a non-digital, real-life prize, along with their NFT.
Snapple Elements made a return to stores back in early March. If you haven’t tried the updated drink, now is the perfect time to try FIRE (dragon fruit juice drink), AIR (prickly pear + peach white tea) and RAIN (agave nectar juice drink). To learn more about Snapple Elements, check out this earlier piece that I wrote for Guilty Eats.
So Guilty Eaters, which NFT are you most interested in? Have you tried Snapple Elements yet?
