Solana’s SOL Could Hit $500 in This Bull Run, Says Analyst, as Upexi Boosts Holdings to 1.8M SOL

Solana’s native token, SOL, experienced a significant price increase, trading near $200 on Wednesday. This surge follows several bullish developments, including substantial corporate investment and optimistic analyst predictions. Upexi Inc. (UPXI), a Nasdaq-listed consumer brand platform, recently announced the acquisition of an additional 100,000 SOL, increasing its total holdings to 1,818,809 SOL, valued at approximately $331 million. This purchase, funded by a $200 million equity and convertible notes raise, represents Upexi’s third successful capital round since initiating its SOL treasury strategy in April.

A significant portion of Upexi’s SOL holdings were acquired at a discount, resulting in a substantial unrealized gain of $58 million. The company plans to stake almost all its SOL, anticipating annual yield of up to $26 million based on the current 8% staking rate. Upexi CEO Allan Marshall highlighted this strategy as a pioneering model for altcoin treasury management within public markets, positioning Upexi as an attractive investment vehicle for those seeking exposure to digital assets. The company introduced a new valuation metric, “Basic mNAV,” representing the ratio of market capitalization to the dollar value of SOL held. As of July 18th, Upexi’s trading price reflected a 1.2x multiple of its SOL net asset value.

This corporate activity coincided with a positive outlook from the pseudonymous crypto analyst “Christiaan,” who predicted a significant price increase for SOL, potentially reaching $400-$500 during this bull market. At the time of writing, SOL is trading at $198.33, showing a slight increase of 0.26% over the past 24 hours. The token’s performance has been remarkably strong recently, with a 20% increase over the past week, 30% over the past two weeks, and a substantial 47.6% rise over the past month. This positions SOL as one of the top-performing major crypto assets this quarter.

Technical analysis reveals SOL’s trading range between July 22nd and 23rd, peaking at $205.99. High volume on July 22nd created strong resistance near $203.81. However, late institutional selling pushed the price below the $200 support level. Despite this late-day dip, the overall trend remains significantly bullish.
