Tokenization Firm Midas Brings Two New DeFi Products to Etherlink
Midas, a financial tokenization platform, has launched two new tokenized investment products, mMEV and mRe7YIELD, on Etherlink, a Tezos-based layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum. These products aim to provide access to decentralized finance (DeFi) opportunities, offering exposure to arbitrage and market-neutral strategies (mMEV) and diversified DeFi yield strategies (mRe7YIELD).
Both mMEV and mRe7YIELD are structured as ERC-20 tokens, enabling users to manage their investments through self-custodied smart contracts. This approach simplifies participation, eliminating the need to navigate multiple intermediaries and complex regional regulations. Instead, investors execute strategies via a single on-chain transaction. The risk management for these products is overseen by MEV Capital (mMEV) and Re7 Capital (mRe7YIELD), respectively.
This launch builds upon Midas’ previous successes with mBASIS and mTBILL, which have already accumulated $11 million in total value locked (TVL) on Etherlink. The platform leverages Etherlink’s enhanced speed and low transaction costs, facilitated by recent network upgrades that include near-instant withdrawal times.
David Relkin, Head of DeFi at Nomadic Labs, a Tezos developer contributing to Etherlink, highlights the significance of these products for institutional investors. He emphasizes that mMEV and mRe7YIELD democratize access to sophisticated yield-farming strategies, marking a crucial step towards fully on-chain wholesale finance.
Dennis Dinkelmeyer, CEO of Midas, underscores Etherlink’s scalability and composability as key factors enabling the creation of structured, compliant on-chain financial strategies. He views mMEV and mRe7YIELD as a significant expansion of secure, self-custodied access to institutional-grade DeFi products. The platform’s ability to integrate directly with lending, automated market making, and structured vaults with minimal overhead and maximum accessibility further strengthens its position in the DeFi landscape. The combination of Midas’ tokenization expertise and Etherlink’s infrastructure is presented as a powerful solution for streamlining institutional investment in DeFi.
