Looking to switch most of your drivetrain to Shimano’s latest 12-speed mountain bike groups, but love the cranks you’ve got?
Never fear, if you’re running a SRAM, Cane Creek, Praxis, or other compatible crankset using the SRAM 3-bolt direct mount pattern, Wolf Tooth has you covered. Just make sure you’re ordering the chainrings that say “Drop Stop ST”, with the “ST” part being the important bit.
They also offer “A” and “B” versions, both of which work with SRAM Eagle 12-speed chains, but have differently optimized compatibility with others (like KMC, Campy, etc. a full chart is on their website).

The new Drop Stop ST SRAM Direct-Mount chainrings are designed specifically, and only, for Shimano’s HyperGlide+ 12-speed chains. The narrow-wide tooth patterns are shaped and chamfered to match Shimano’s narrower chain profile and provide proper clearance and retention.
Available in black and nickel finish, the latter going perfectly with Cane Creek’s titanium crankset, you can get them in round or oval in 30/32/34 tooth counts. MSRP is $75-$80 depending on finish.
