Centrifuge Expands Tokenized RWAs to Solana, Starting With $400M Treasury Fund
Centrifuge, a platform specializing in tokenized assets, is expanding its services onto the Solana blockchain. This expansion begins with the integration of Anemoy’s $400 million tokenized U.S. Treasury fund (JTRSY). The core of Centrifuge’s strategy lies in its “deRWA tokens” standard, designed for seamless transferability and utilization of tokenized instruments across various decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.
The deJTRSY token, adhering to this standard, offers Solana users unprecedented access to short-term Treasury yields within the Solana DeFi ecosystem. Initial integrations include Raydium (a decentralized exchange), Kamino (a lending platform), and Lulo (a yield aggregator), providing diverse avenues for interaction with the tokenized asset.
This rollout underscores Solana’s rapidly growing influence in the tokenized real-world asset (RWA) market. This sector, focused on bridging traditional financial instruments (bonds, funds, and credit) with blockchain technology, shows immense potential. Boston Consulting Group and Ripple predict a staggering $18.9 trillion market size by 2033.
Solana’s commitment to RWAs is further solidified by its recent partnership with R3, a blockchain technology firm specializing in banking solutions. This collaboration aims to further enhance the integration of real-world assets onto the Solana blockchain. Furthermore, Securitize is introducing a tokenized Apollo credit asset fund to Solana-based DeFi protocols, further expanding the ecosystem’s capabilities.
