Trump-Backed World Liberty Financial Buys BUILDon Token, Sending the Price Up 1,340%
World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a cryptocurrency project associated with the Trump family, significantly impacted the BUILDon (B) token’s price by announcing a substantial purchase. This acquisition resulted in a dramatic 1,340% surge in the BNB Chain token’s value. The investment followed BUILDon’s announcement of its intention to utilize WLFI’s USD1 stablecoin for practical applications.
WLFI’s social media post confirmed the purchase, expressing support for the BUILDon team and highlighting the benefits of using USD1 as a base pair, citing faster settlement times, increased liquidity, and continuous growth. The post also encouraged other tokens to adopt USD1.
Data analysis from Arkham Intelligence reveals WLFI’s holdings of 636,000 B tokens, currently valued at approximately $172,000. Before WLFI’s intervention, BUILDon’s market capitalization was around $40 million, with daily trading volume under $100 million. However, following the announcement, trading volume exploded, surpassing $1.2 billion within 24 hours.
This significant increase in trading volume predominantly occurred on Pancakeswap, the BNB Chain’s decentralized exchange equivalent to Uniswap. It’s noteworthy that BUILDon (B) is not yet listed on any major centralized exchanges, making the Pancakeswap activity even more remarkable. The substantial price increase and volume surge demonstrate the considerable influence WLFI’s investment has had on BUILDon’s market presence. The integration of USD1 stablecoin into BUILDon’s ecosystem is also a key factor contributing to the overall market response. This event highlights the potential impact of strategic investments and stablecoin integration in the volatile cryptocurrency market. The case also underscores the significant influence of high-profile backers, like the Trump family’s association with WLFI, on the success of cryptocurrency projects. Further observation is needed to assess the long-term sustainability of this price surge.
