BCH Stumbles at $467 After Triple Rejection, Ends Slightly Down Despite High-Volume Rebound

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is currently trading at $452.13, experiencing a slight 0.54% decrease over the past 24 hours. This downturn follows multiple unsuccessful attempts to break through the $467 resistance level, a key indicator highlighted by CoinDesk Research’s technical analysis.

A notable price surge occurred on June 23, reaching near $467 with a nearly 3% gain driven by high volume. However, this upward momentum proved short-lived, as the $467 level acted as robust resistance, repelling the price twice subsequently. This rejection, coupled with the formation of a descending trendline characterized by lower highs, paints a bearish short-term outlook for BCH.

Analyzing the 24-hour trading range, BCH fluctuated within a $19.76 bracket (4.4%), moving between $449.61 and $469.63. The June 23 surge, marked by a significant volume increase of 79,485 units, solidified $467 as a critical resistance point. This resistance held firm despite repeated challenges, underscoring its strength.

Conversely, support emerged around the $450 mark, with notable volume accumulation observed between 3 PM and 4 PM. The post-surge price action established a descending trendline of lower highs, a clear sign of bearish momentum. Interestingly, a brief V-shaped micro-trend materialized in the final hour, showcasing a price bounce from $449.94 to $451.31.

Volume spikes coincided with specific periods of price volatility. A sharp drop between 6:17 PM and 6:19 PM and a subsequent recovery between 6:30 PM and 6:32 PM saw heightened trading activity. Repeated successful retests of the $450 level have consolidated this area as a short-term support zone.

The recent announcement by Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell regarding U.S. banks’ autonomy in selecting their digital asset clientele represents a significant development. This policy shift effectively eliminates a major hurdle for institutional adoption, potentially paving the way for deeper integration of cryptocurrencies within the traditional financial system. This positive regulatory development may influence future BCH price action, although the immediate technical outlook remains bearish based on current price and volume patterns.
