Decentralized Web3 Audio Streaming Platform ‘Tamago’ Collaborates With Panorama Bar Resident And ‘Love On The Rocks’ Founder ‘Paramida’ On Exclusive Unreleased Music NFT Drop.
Today, web3 decentralized audio streaming platform Tamago unveil their NFT collaboration with Berlin based DJ and Panorama Bar resident, Paramida.
The Paramida x Tamago drop is the first in a series of one of one music NFT collaborations recently announced from the platform’s co-founder Clarian North, along with forthcoming exclusives set to drop o this summer from Tiga and Chicago house music icon Felix Da Housecat.
The Paramida collaboration is an unreleased track bundle of new music from her second EP, touching down on 25th August on her “Love On The Rocks” label along with guest list access to all of the imprint’s events this year – including a secret island party at Croatia’s Love International festival this summer. Founded by Paramida in 2014, Love On The Rocks’ catalog is defined by irresistible, offbeat club anthems and unexpected 12″s, bringing together elements from nu-disco, trance, acid, deep and progressive house, breaks and ambient music.
The successful NFT owner will also receive the dubplate from Paramida’s upcoming full release featuring the exclusive Tamago track. The Berlin based producer is set to upload the entire back catalog of her “Love on the Rocks” imprint to Tamago later this year. The visual component of the Paramida x Tamago NFT was created collaboratively by Creative Director Benham Samrad and Illustrator BiLo. The auction opens Tuesday 28th June and closes 2.30PM EST on 5th July.
Tamago aims to open up direct and transparent revenue models through a mix of Web3 and NFT technology, and provides artists with a platform on which they can get paid for their streams transparently. The unique nature of the One of One content means that the NFTs are delivered as singles or a collection of tracks that users can not only stream, but buy and add to their profile for other users to listen to and enjoy. Tamago allows buyers to create shareable playlists that they can monetize based on the royalty structure decided upon by the selling artist.
The platform has partnered with NEAR Protocol as the blockchain’s official music streaming solution which is closely backed by the Human Guild.
Tamago recently raised $1 million in seed funding via Block0, Move Capital, Daedalus, Human Guild, and Big Brain Holdings. The platform, which launched in March of this year, now boasts over 1000 tracks on platform with over 700 users and 45,000 minutes of streamed content thus far.
Co-founder Clarian is known in the crypto community as being the first artist to ever mint an NFT, with his album “Whale Shark LP” beating Kings of Leon to the title on March 3rd via OpenSea. A respected figure in underground dance music with timeless productions released on labels like Visionquest, Kompakt, Counter, Turbo, Life And Death, Clarian has since gone on to have 80,000 developers enrolled in his blockchain courses from building an NFT marketplace on Polygon to the complete Solidity Course Zero to Expert.
Tamago presents a way forward for independent artists in the modern age of Web3, interlaced with the cultural tenants that make underground music a lasting force across the globe.
